At ACG, we believe that supporting Hungarian culture is a shared cause, and that everyone should contribute to it to the best of their ability. Our first in-house film, Egykutya, is a perfect example of this. We produced it entirely as an agency project, with no state funding.
At ACG, we believe in the market-based support of Hungarian cultural values. Our first in-house produced film, Egykutya, is a prime example of this, having been created entirely as an agency production without any state funding.
The film is an adaptation of a stage play produced by Pop-Up Produkció, which we had the honor of hosting for over 100 performances at the ACG agency. The play grew on us, becoming a part of who we are, so it felt natural to extend our support to help bring its story to the big screen.
Directed by Oscar-winner Kristóf Deák and starring Alexa Bakonyi, Laura Döbrösi, Dalma Tenki, and Károly Tóth, the film was already a huge success even before its official premiere on October 2, 2025. It previously won the Audience Award at the 21st CineFest Miskolc International Film Festival in September.
As our founding partner and the producer of Egykutya, Endre Mentes, emphasized: "Championing Hungarian cultural values is not just a noble task, but also an opportunity."
The success of Egykutya proves that high-quality Hungarian film has a place in the audience's heart. At ACG, we are committed to supporting contemporary art, and we are proud to carry this vision forward in both our work and our community engagement.
We ask everyone to support this initiative and Hungarian culture by going to see this film, which is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression on you.
